Prayer for a Newly Ordained Priest

O God, eternal High Priest,

You have chosen Your servant Fr. Dennis Marcos

to be a minister of Word and Sacrament,

a shepherd for Your people,

and a living sign of Christ’s love.

Grant him wisdom, compassion, and courage.

Make his hands gentle and strong,

his heart joyful and faithful,

his voice clear in proclaiming Your Gospel.

Through his ministry,

may your Church in Lubbock be renewed,

Your name be glorified,

and many be drawn to the light of Christ.

We entrust him to the care of Mary, Mother of Priests,

and we give You thanks for the gift of his vocation.
