GRADUATIONS AND ORDINATIONS

In most cases, the seminarians finish their academic and priestly formation at the seminary without their family present to share such an accomplishment. In some worse situation, the family may not even make it to their priesthood ordination because of complications in travel or health issues. We have also journeyed with seminarians who have been orphaned. Facing these realities during milestone moments of their lives can be tough, in the midst of the supposed joy that the occasion warrants. Many times, the SGFS community becomes their family. How privileged we can be to be there standing next to them, undeservedly, for being their foster families in this country. WE may not be related by blood, but the truth we celebrate with them is that we are their spiritual family.
